In this new millennium, the realization that parents are essential to
the development of our children’s educational process has never
been greater. In virtually every educational setting, it is clear that
where there are no parents, there is little progress. The mission to keep
parents informed of the strides that the Manhattan High Schools are making
and to ensure that our children attain the capacity to meet the standards
and achieve their educational goals. With the support of our community
of caregivers, we can provide our young people with the direction, focus
and purpose they need to succeed. Welcome the opportunities we have to
work with our Parent Advisory Council, School Leadership Teams and our
schools’ parent organizations in this endeavor. Parents are encouraged
to attend their schools Parent Association meetings and to participate
in open school activities. Communication is key and we should make every
effort to maintain a connected community.
